A half beef will feed a family of four for 9-12 months. This includes about 75 pounds of ground beef, 3 roasts, several cuts of steak, and more.
To reserve your half beef share, simply click below and then place your $500 deposit with a credit card. Daren or Darlis will then contact you to coordinate the details of harvesting, processing, and delivery of your meat.
Following selection of the animal that you will be sharing with one or two other customers, we harvest it and take it to a small, high-quality meat processing facility. The carcass is dry-aged for 21 days. The dry-aging process adds time, but it is essential to creating more flavorful and tender meat.
Following the dry-aging process, the meat is cut, wrapped, labeled, and boxed.
If you live in Montana or western North Dakota, we will most likely be able to make arrangements for free delivery or pick-up. If you live farther away, we will ship your beef to you, and we will pass along the actual shipping fee to you at the time of the final billing.
Upon delivery of your beef, you will be charged the balance. Your balance due will be the shipping cost plus the exact weight of the meat you receiving multiplied by the quoted price per pound — minus your $500 deposit, if applicable. The total cost will come to approximately $xxxx. Your balance due will be made in two payments — one to North of Nowhere Farm and one to the meat processor.
Please note that your meat will be processed as Custom Exempt and stamped “not for sale” (i.e., it cannot be resold to others).
